Overview

Rajasthan State Gas Limited (RSGL), a Joint Venture Company of Rajasthan State Petroleum Corporation Limited, RSPCL (a subsidiary of Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Limited, RSMM) and GAIL Gas Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Government of India, Maharatna PSU, GAIL (India) Limited) was incorporated on 20th September 2013 as RSPCL-GAIL Gas Limited(the name was later changed to RSGL) as a nodal Agency for development of retail gas infrastructure in the state of Rajasthan for ensuring availability of Clean, Safe and Green Fuel to meet the demand of Industrial, Commercial, automotive and domestic customers. Company has authorized share capital of Rs. 200 Crores and has aggressive business plan to create CNG Highway corridors in the state of Rajasthan.

As a maiden project, RSGL has completed Mega CNG station at Neemrana, district Alwar and Daughter Booster station at Kukus near Jaipur along NH-8 and has started dispensing CNG to plying Vehicles thereby opening CNG Corridor between Delhi – Jaipur -Delhi in the month of June, 2016 as per the Chief Minister, GoR budget mandate. The Mega CNG station at Neemrana operates round the clock and hence makes CNG available 24x7 for commuting Vehicles on Delhi-Jaipur-Delhi highway (NH-8).

RSPCL-GGL Ltd. (now RSGL) has signed a MoU with Rajasthan state Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO), a Govt. of Rajasthan Undertaking for identification, development and promotion of Natural Gas based infrastructure in Rajasthan state. The MoU was signed in presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister, GoR.

The Company is also involved with the key strategic group for development of smart cities i.e. Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer to provide clean energy solution to boost industrialization through the systematic and synchronised planning.

RSGL has entered into an agreement with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for augmenting CNG availability in the state of Rajasthan. The project activities for setting up of additional CNG facilities in two IOCL retail outlets along NH-08 have been started and the project planning for setting up CNG facilities at IOCL outlets between Kota-Jaipur highway and Kota-Baran-Dewas-Mumbai highway are to commence shortly.

The CGD Kota assets of GAIL Gas Limited have also been transferred to RSGL on 31.07.2017 vide Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) signed on 18th April 2017 at Jaipur in the presence of Honourable Chief Minister, Govt. of Rajasthan and Honourable Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India.
